There   is  tiny  spaces   in   weatherd  rock    called    pores   that   lets   water  go  thru.For  example     sand    stone   and   a  non   example  brick.Water  keeps   on    going  until  it  hits   impermeable  rock.impermeable  rock  means    rock     that  water  can't   go  thru.
